ABOUT US:


The Portland Literacy Council (PLC) is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization founded in 1993. PLC is dedicated to promoting literacy programs throughout the Portland metropolitan area. PLC efforts include: assisting learners by providing access to literacy resources, developing volunteer tutor training programs, hosting an annual tutor conference, publishing the Literacy Links newsletter, sponsoring local literacy projects, and organizing educational workshops.
